1 Get inspired whether
Whether you’ve been dancing for a week or ten years, the key to becoming a good dancer wants to be a good dancer. So remind yourself why you enjoy or find dancing to be great in the first place!
This “why” will keep you going when you’re feeling defeated or sluggish.
Watch dance videos, talk to your dance pals, attend dance shows whatever it takes to rekindle your passion for dancing.
2 Warm-up and stretch
Before you begin dancing, be sure your body is up to the task! Because it’s no fun to try to dance when your body is chilly and rigid.
Pulling a muscle and having to sit out is even worse. It’s also no pleasure to be gravely injured.
Warming up and stretching before dancing will allow you to move with a better range of motion and control and assist you in avoiding injuries.

3 Study music

6 Train technique and execution
The ABC’s of all movements are techniques and foundations.
Drilling techniques will instil that movement in your muscle memory, allowing you to perform it without thinking.

7 Learn to move with feeling
There are many components to executing movement in the manner you want.
There are technical (which you’ll master by studying the fundamentals of a dance style and taking lots of classes) and artistic (which you’ll master by learning the principles of a dance style and taking plenty of classes).
While it’s critical to begin your dance training with the more technical building blocks necessary to move your body in a way that appears excellent, confident, and calm, the following phase of your training should be centred on being THAT dancer.
The individual who enters the dance floor or stage and causes everyone to say, “Wow, they don’t dance to the music.” They transform into music.
8 Explore through freestyle dancing
Freestyling is a terrific opportunity to work on your fundamentals, connect with the music, and discover new ways to move your body.
9 Create choreography
Choreography is a fantastic method to push yourself as a dancer.
You’ll be forced to think of new routines, freestyle, and listen to music in ways you’ve never done before.
10 Find what makes you unique
The most captivating dancers are those who have discovered and learnt to use their unique voices.
Consider your musical preferences, create your natural groove, and enjoy the strange stances that your body produces.
Your style will not only make you a better dancer, but the best dancer you can be.
11 Stay growth-minded
Do not categorise yourself as a “type” of a dancer. Instead, allow yourself to experiment with many types of dancing, to fail, and to keep pushing for improvement.
If you keep improving, even if it’s in small steps, you’ll eventually be at a level you never imagined.
So, one day at a time, keep developing, changing and evolving.
12 Take care of your body!
Many of us ignore our bodies, even though they are the very tool we use to dance.
A strong, fed, and hydrated body will outperform a weak, stiff, and dehydrated one in any dance situation.
Keep your body in peak, dance-ready shape to be a skilled dancer.
